Civil defense workers take a pause after hours of searching for the remains of 20 civilians trapped under rubble. Israel intensified air strikes on Beirut, Lebanon, Sunday afternoon, Aug. 13, 2006--during the countdown to a UN brokered cease-fire, which is supposed to go into effect Monday, Aug. 14 at 6:00 am GMT--just a few hours after IDF planes killed 20 civilians in the Southern Beirut neighborhood of Rweiss, according to Lebanese security sources.
